KTVU News Anchor, Cristina Rendon:

The Bay Area Science Festival took over UCSF’s Mission Bay campus today. Organizers say it’s Northern California’s largest free science event offering hands-on experiments, games, demos, behind the scenes lab tours, film screenings, and science talks.  There was a 30 foot long whalebone that guests could touch, as well as a 3D printing booth and robot demonstrations.

Bay Area Science Festival Director, Katherine Nielsen:

This event is about sparking wonder and about making connections and inspiring the next generation.

KTVU News Anchor, Cristina Rendon:

This was the 12th year UCSF put on the Science Festival.
