Josh Cassidy, award-winning wildlife cinematographer for PBS/KQED’s Deep Look, takes a close-up look at organisms that inspire human engineering and design. Part nature documentary, part innovation case study, this talk connects wild animals to real-world science and design breakthroughs: the transparent wings of glasswing butterflies, the adhesive toes of geckos, the sound-dampening structure of owl feathers, and the underwater bonding power of mussel cement.
