CNPS, the California Native Plant Society, is a statewide non-profit organization of amateurs and professionals. Our goals are to increase understanding of California’s native flora and to preserve this rich natural heritage for future generations. The Yerba Buena Chapter encompasses San Francisco and northern San Mateo Counties and is named for the tiny edible fog loving shade loving fragrant mint Clinopodium douglasii found in this area. Chapter Activities are as diverse as our membership and range from conservation and wildlife habitat restoration to native plant gardening and photography. Visitors are welcome and encouraged to attend any of our events.
