Event Types

Over the course of the 10 days, more than 50 Festival events are offered for the families, teens and adults. In 2022, we are excited to return to in-person events and look forward to seeing you at Discovery Days!

Discovery Days bring the fun and excitement of science to a huge crowd. Working with local universities, museums, companies, school groups, non-profits and many others, Discovery Days offer hundreds of FREE hands-on-activities and exhibits. In 2022, we’re hosting Discovery Day at Oracle Park in San Francisco and Discovery Day at CSU East Bay’s Hayward Campus.

Each year, we host behind-the-scenes tours that highlight the scientific wonders of the Bay Area. You can hike along the San Andreas Fault with a geologist, tour a deep sea ocean exploration manufacturing center with marine engineers, or peer into a microscope with a microbiologist.

Thank You for Supporting BASF

We strive to make all Bay Area Science Festival events free, when possible. To produce the Festival, we must annually raise hundreds of thousands of dollars. Every donation helps us make this important work possible.
